Addendum
I've had a few emails from people lately, wondering if I've actually given up on this project. I admit that I have thought of throwing in the towel a number of times especially recently, but if I ever did decide to pack it in I'd certainly be honest about it. But like I've already said, I don't really have any plans on providing any further updates in the foreseeable future. But just to prove that work is continuing, I'll present a couple of new screenshots from this week.
I built myself a new testing area to play in with lithtech 1.0, and started working on the AI once again.
I've learned quite a bit over time about how best to implement many improvements to the AI and also a lot about all of the peculiarities of the lithtech engine. But lithtech 1.0 is still an old buggy creature to work with, and I'd really like to move on to the Jupiter engine if I can. It does mean a whole lot of work, involving coding and new model construction. But I can definitely promise that the true spirit and essence of Blood will be retained. Caleb will eventually look like himself, and not like some bizarre androgynous sissy with anime friends.
As for any further updates, this site will now no longer provide any due to the childish behavior of some self serving, parasitic thieves in the community. Feel free to research all of the true facts for yourself. This thread of lunacy might help get you started.

They've certainly demonstrated their immaturity and inability at providing any reasonable defense against the truth and facts. They'll steal and lie, and attempt to manipulate anyone so that they can try to profit somehow. Anyone that makes the true facts clear, will be ridiculed and insulted continuously on their own web site.
This is my reward for selflessly trying to do a good thing for the Blood community for over 2 years. You can witness their crazy immaturity for yourselves in the thread I mentioned.

This is Brad Vanzetti again, it just clicked to me to look at the site again today, curious of anything. If the game has to be moved over to the Jupiter engine, it is perfectly acceptable, though I got to say what's been done with Lithtech 1.0 is amazing and would set a benchmark on inferior gaming engines.
I've and hopefully others been extremely patient regarding the game, it is something I am still aware of but not over-actively concerned, and you should do the same thing.
Not to dare doubt, but if, not when, but if the game ever got canned, I plead you to release everything that has been accommodated thus far and leave it for other professional modders to finish the game if you are unable to continue. Too many good works (both fan and official) have gone without continuation. It is a shame to see all that hard work go to nothing.
P.S. Screw the assholes that have been badmouthing you and the project, that's all I can say. Best of luck to your game and your life.
I'm still laughing over Capcom giving them permission to make a RE game. They really are crazy.

WTF? I seriously don't know what is going on over at Posty. Though it seems like some rather strange shit from my view of casually watching from the sidelines of neutral Transfusion Forums and Blood Wiki. I will just say that, based on what I have seen, I do not like the basic design for Hypertension, but they may do what they want. If they have been trying to force people into things or deliberately antagonize people (which from what I have read, they have not), well then that is bad. As for you Kurt, I understand not wanting to post updates, I as a developer have sometimes decided to leave the public spotlight for a little once in a while. Even as the biggest original Blood II fan in the entire world, I still await your version eagerly. Viva la Blood (best game of 1997!), Viva la The Chosen (best game of 1998!), Viva la Resurrection (best game of 2009?)!

Although I'd like to think people were only getting inspired by your work, they are literally copying segments that you certainly made look much better. I said it once and I'll say it again, as one of your largest supporters of B2R; ignore these idiotic fucktards, take your time as needed, no updates on this site, maybe a surprise silent release, get off the computer and take time to relish in other activities. And when you do decide to continue, you don't pay attention to them. Cyberbullies get extremely annoyed when you don't give them the trolling attention they want. You have a choice to read their dribbling diarrhea of a post. And if all goes to hell give the resources and remnants of the game to only your most trusted friends and whoever that has what's needed can manage to finish it. It would be a big shame if B2R never saw the light of day just because some loser in Amsterdam copied your stuff or that 16 year old drop out thinks your game sucks and gets off to your rantings on this site.

Many months ago I challenged you to a race of sorts, fully confident that you would never win.
The IS a way for you to win kurt, and redeem yourself from the ever growing tar pit of hate you seem unable to free yourself from.
One of the show stopping issues with you is the possibility that people you cannot stant might download your relesased work and steal from you.
There may be a way around that problem. What if I simply promised you that I would not download your release? I know my word doesn't carry any weight with you and I can't make that promise for corbin.
Still, it's a start. You could work on just 4 or 5 maps- the ones that you think best represent blood2's abilities. You could work on that small map pack for 6 months or so and beat Hypertension's alpha release- perhaps by quite a bit. Then the world would know who's work was derivative or not.
I'm not in any kind of race to win anything, and you really do seem to be mentally ill, in all honesty.
I began this project in 2007. Corbin began his project one year later. He quickly ended his 7 month old Resident Evil project when he discovered my website. My goals were to re-visualize Blood and Blood 2 with a new story. Corbin's goals are to re-visualize Blood and Blood 2 with a new story. He has in fact publicly admitted to copying my work on more then one occasion! That is all a matter of public record. So it's really quite remarkable that anyone could even try to dismiss those facts. Even more incredible is the attempt to try to take credit for thinking up what I was clearly doing long before Corbin ever showed up!
It really isn't difficult for most people to already see which work is derivative. But still you and your gang of mental retards continue your lies, trying to cause even further damages. Your grandiose propaganda on the DieHard GameFan website was especially nauseating in how desperate you appear in seeking attention and praise. Your childish attempts at damaging this project and my reputation with ridicule and lies still exists on the Hypertension forum, as does the record of your attacks against the Blood community in the Postmortem forum. If you honestly can't see how much damage you've already done then I truly do pity you.
Unlike you, I actually worked my ass off for over 2 years trying to do something good for the Blood community. But you have absolutely no respect for any of that because its simply easier to lie and steal and cause damages because you want some attention and praise for yourselves. The Blood community could have had a new rebirth of optimism and development, in a truly positive direction, if it weren't for you. Well all I can say is, this blows. You don't deserve this, it's very unfair, unlike some of these people I have a hell of a lot of admiration for this project and it takes balls to do what you've accomplished. It fucking irritates even me, that they'll continue this tirade until you're mentally and physically exhausted.
Please, whatever you have to do, let it not be in vain of these bastards. You have my and plenty of others' support for both the game, and you as an actual contribution to the Blood fans, unlike zZaRDoZz up there. Stay strong, you do know who has the upper hand here. Cyberbullying can only work to an extent, if they get ignored and aren't fed the troll fuel they crave, it won't allow them to continue ridiculing effectively, they will look mad by talking to themselves. If they're going to plagiarize, they are only an inferior copycat, and you'll have the content in knowing that more people would rather play B2R than Hyperripoff.
