A few random images
It's been over a month since I last worked on this project, so I decided to fire up the old Blood 2 game once again today. The time away was much needed and it's allowed me to now see a few things with a fresh perspective.
I went and took a look at some of the older levels I'd worked on and snapped a few photos along the way, which I thought I'd share.

I was then reminded of how much I hate setting up the lighting in lithtech 1.0 and how time consuming the new models are in the editor. I'd still really love to have all of the features of the Jupiter editor to play with, but lithtech 1.0 still has some potential left.
If my patience holds up.
Maybe in time the dream of better things might come true...

The design of that mausoleum is great Kurt. Very good blood-atmosphere.
yes its damn great! as always you make me want it even more for each new sreen you put out here.
Keep up the good work wish i could help but all i can do is doom maps and acs script..
Anyway i damn you to eternal hell if you let this fin peice of work go undone.
Best regards Unrealsoldier
I seem to already be in an eternal hell with this game, lol.
I'll continue to do my best though.
kurt, you've heard someone comment before about reducing the muzzle flash. How about simply changing the color to white light?
Did you change the cultist skin? The robe looks a bit neater.
^^
Joe, have you heard of anyone using nosnap for terrain in dedit?
The cultists have a variety of different styled robes, and the muzzle flash colors will eventually be eliminated.
zardoz, I have heard it can be done. I will look thru some ED's I have and see if there is an example. I think if you use them, you have to remember to add some extra command during compile. I'm not 100% sure but I think it's -NOSNAPNOCSG or something like that.
It's looking good!! =)
unrealsoldier, you map for doom? The hypertension project is looking for help with maps and whatnot. We use a variant of the Doom engine, and we could really use the help.
sorry kurt for shamelessly doing this to your comments :/
No problem Cortana.
It seems that only a few people want to talk about Resurrection anyways. So feel free to talk about the Doom engine, Hypertension, or nosnap for DEdit. This page is here for all forms of random communication ;)
Kurt I really feel that your project is one of the only reasons I keep my project [Hypertension] going. It seems we have a common goal as well as a common problem: technology and lack of help. I really want to see if I can get into your project a little. I would love to talk with you on a more personal basis though. See what kinds of things I would have to adapt from my current knowledge of programming/modelling, etc.
I see a tommygun in the arms of the monks!
It is comforting to see that pregresses are still happening.
I wish you and the project to see some light in this bloody new year.
Thanks buti. I had a sudden burst of energy...
Corbin, my door is always open to anyone insane enough to help with things =)
Ok, so hook me up with what I need, maybe share some of your ideas and I'll check it out =)
Hey Corbin, use the contact page and let me know what you might possibly be interested in doing. I currently need 3d modellers, C++ coders, and texture artists, but maybe you might have some other skills that could benefit this project. I certainly appreciate any assistance that I can get =)
Kurt, why not making a page with characters' descriptions you wrote on postmortem with some of your nice portraits? A spot of the reworked storyline could be there as well. Just to give more "juice" (read "blood") to new visitors of the site.
Excellent suggestion buti. I hope to work that and a few other things into the web site eventually.
If you guys haven't already seen the announcement, head to the TDGMods blog in my link.
Kurt, we're working on specifically getting you some grungy HQ textures at the moment. When you get the email with the attachment, let me know what you want to see more of. It shouldn't take longer than a couple of days.
Thanks, Corbin .I'll look forward to receiving any assistance that I can get.
