The City at Night part 2

I recently returned to some of my old city levels in an attempt to improve them, and I think I'm finally beginning to get the hang of all of these damned lights. Hopefully I can find the time to do some more updating on all of my other levels as well.

Time is one thing that there never seems to be enough of, and I've been attempting to do my best with all of this work for the past 2 years on my own. But the demands and obligations of reality do prevent me from doing as much as I would like, and as I've often mentioned, volunteers are always appreciated.

This city street for example could benefit by having some low poly cars, and more garbage on the streets. Unfortunately I just can't find the time to create any more models at the moment. The same is true of all the textures that this game requires.

I do seem to have a great deal less free time then I used to, so any assistance is certainly a welcome relief. Texture artists, 3d modellers and C++ coders are still needed if anyone's interested in contributing to this resurrection madness. Anyone can contact me anytime for whatever reasons through the contact page.

I'll continue with all of this for as long as it takes to get it right. But if these updates do become somewhat scarce in the future, it's simply due to my increasingly limited free time....

But on a positive note, I finally got the ferris wheel to work!

Hah! first one to post is a kiss ass!...
...Oh, wait.

Kurt,

know that your free time is restricted, may I suggest using your time on coding and modeling for a while?
The time your spending on individual levels is pushing everything else to the side. I'm sure most gamers who were ignorant of your mod would confuse the latest shots with a professionally made quake3 based game. You are exceeding any early lithtech built game in visual quality at least.

Time for some models.

Welcome Cergal!

Dedit has wiped the floor with me and will get another opportunity to do so if the winrez experiments continue to bare fruit. Might as well give 3dsmax a turn while I'm the negative focus of this feeding frenzy. Where can I insult myself and lower your expectations further with a copy?

Any kind of model software can be used, and the models can be saved in any format. I'll take care of the necessary conversion. Good luck.

So I'm on the look out for anything that can grab hold of the "old" type of ABC format. Gotcha.

Not exactly zZardoZz. I'm not sure how you manage to always complicate issues.

Old .abc models can't be imported, but they can be exported. New models can be built in any software. Simply contact me if you're unclear on this.

Use Milkshape if you are new to 3D modeling zZardoZz.

Unless Kurt has any objections to that software...

It doesn't matter to me what software is used, but you're on own with learning how to use it...

Ferris wheel looks fantastic. I never thought Lithtech 1 was capable of that.

Seriously! XD
